It's a boy! Scottie Scheffler arrives at Masters with 9-day-old son and a game he hopes is ready

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler arrived at Augusta National on Sunday, and he brought the whole family with him. All four of them.

Scheffler, who tends to keep his golf separate from his home life, had not shared any information sincewithdrawing from the Houston Open two weeks agobecause of the impending birth of his second child. He said wife Meredith gave birth to a boy on March 27. They named him Remy.

"We just liked it," Scheffler said about the name. His first son, Bennett, was born in 2024 before the PGA Championship. "We didn't have very many good boy names, to be honest with you."

There he was, in a stroller Meredith was pushing under the famous oak tree by the clubhouse, 9 days old and already at his first Masters.

It added to the sights rarely seen anywhere else on the Sunday before a major. That holds true with so much about the Masters.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy has been at the club all weekend, watching theAugusta National Women's Amateuron Saturday and handing out trophies to a group of boys in the annual Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals on Sunday.

McIlroy has talked about how much he looked forward to returning as the Masters champion and enjoying all the perks that go with it. He was in his green jacket during the Drive, Chip and Putt, and posed with Maria Jose Marin, the ANWA winner and first Colombian to join the roll call of Augusta National winners.

Then he headed out to the golf course with his father, Gerry, and Augusta member Jimmy Dunne. Next up is the Masters Club dinner Tuesday andthe elaborate menuhe has put together.

"It is the most exclusive dinner club in all of sport, and I think we should all feel very fortunate that we are there," he told Golf Channel after his part in the trophy presentation Sunday. "But we're there because of the hard work and the good play that we've been able to produce."

He also mentioned two players who won't be at the dinner — Tiger Woods, arrested and briefly jailed for suspicion of driving under the influence during aMarch 27 car crash, and Phil Mickelson, who is tending to a personal health matter at home.

"Unfortunately, there will be a couple of guys that won't be in that room, which is a shame, but I want to make sure that they're acknowledged as well," McIlroy said. "They've been two of the greatest champions that the Masters has ever seen. But it's going to be a really cool night. I can't wait. I hope everyone enjoys the dinner and enjoys everything that I've selected."

Bryson DeChambeau also was at Augusta National on Saturday for the end of the ANWA, consoling Asterisk Talley after the 17-year-old hit two shots into Rae's Creek for a quadruple-bogey 7 on the par-3 12th hole that cost her a chance to win.

DeChambeau grew up about 45 minutes away from where Talley lives in the central valley of California. They know each other well.

"Obviously, I've had difficult moments in my career, and if there's anything I can do to support her, that's what I'm here for. That's why I'm here to support," DeChambeau told reporters Saturday.

He teed off Sunday by himself after the DC&P was over, walking to slap hands and pose for photos with kids and spectators some 100 yards down the right side of the tee. "I've got to go play," he told them before running to catch up with his caddie. There are exceptions for running at Augusta National.

Also there was Gary Player, the three-time Masters champion who will be hitting the honorary tee shot on Thursday. The Black Night was on the putting green as the Boys 7-9 division was preparing for its putting competition on the 18th green.

There was 8-year-old Landyn Kelly from Henderson, Nevada, rapping 40-foot putts toward the hole with 90-year-old Player watching with amazement.

"What a touch! What a touch he has, man!" Player exclaimed.

Scheffler took this Sunday to play with Blake Smith, his longtime manager, who had never played Augusta National. Scheffler and McIlroy are fighting some history this week. Adam Scott in 2013 is the last player to win the Masters after having three weeks off.

"I've been practicing," Scheffler said. "I've been able to do a good amount at home."

Duke's Cameron Boozer wins men's Naismith Player of the Year award

Cameron Boozer's fantastic freshman season has earned him the Naismith Award for college basketball's men's player of the year.

Yahoo Sports

The Duke forward was given the award on Sunday after he averaged 22.5 points and 10.2 rebounds a game in 2025-26. Duke narrowly missed out on advancing to the Final Fourafter UConn stunned the Blue Devils 73-72 in the Elite Eight.

"I'm incredibly honored to receive the Naismith Player of the Year Award," Boozer said in a statement. "When you think about the history of this award and all the great players who've been recognized before, it really puts things in perspective. It's something I don't take lightly. This game has given me so much, and I've been lucky to be surrounded by amazing teammates, coaches, and a family that's supported me every step of the way. They've challenged me, believed in me, and helped me grow not just as a player, but as a person. I know I still have a long way to go, and this recognition just motivates me to keep working and do everything I can to keep improving every day."

Boozer's strong season powered Duke to the ACC regular season and tournament titles along with the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament. He scored at least 30 points on four different occasions and shot nearly 56% from the field.

In Duke's season-ending loss to the Huskies, Boozer scored 27 points and had 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

Though he hasn't officially made his NBA Draft decision, Boozer is considered a likely top-five pick in what should be a stellar draft class. Boozer was the No. 3 recruit in the high school class of 2025 behind BYU's AJ Dybantsa and Kansas' Darryn Peterson.

He chose Duke along with his twin brother Cayden, a four-star prospect. The two picked Duke, where their father, Carlos, starred for three seasons from 1999 through 2002 before he was a second-round pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2002 NBA Draft.

Cameron Boozer shot over 50% from the field in 27 of Duke's 38 games in 2025-26. Thanks to early-season wins over Kansas, Arkansas, Florida and Michigan State, Boozer immediately established himself as the best player in college basketball to take a lot of the drama out of the player of the year discussion.

Boozer scored 35 points on 13-of-18 shooting in a November win over Arkansas before following that up with 18 points and 15 rebounds in a 66-60 win at Michigan State on Dec. 6.

He was just as good in ACC play. Boozer scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds in Duke's only conference loss of the season at North Carolina. When the Tar Heels came to Duke to end the regular season, Boozer was 10-of-17 from the field for 26 points and had 15 rebounds in what could have been his final game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Along with Boozer, Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd was named the Naismith coach of the year and Florida's Rueben Chinyelu was named the defensive player of the year. Lloyd's award comes a day after his Wildcats were blown out in the Final Four by Michigan as the Wolverines advanced to play UConn in the national championship game on Monday night.

Porsha Williams in a black dress, surrounded by white drapes holding a a glass of champagne

When Bravo tried to giveThe Real Housewives of Atlantaa soft reboot last year, no one would have predicted just how off the rails things would become.

You had Porsha in the throes of a divorce, unable to film the show inside her home. A scantily clad insurance agent threatened Kenya with a gun, and that escalated into a revenge porn saga that is still playing out in court. It was a mess, but at this point, we're considering it as a test run for the greatness that we seem to have in store for Season 17.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 1, "A Warm Welcome," kicked off another new era for the beloved franchise, and they really mean it this time. They've got reality TV vets, shady songstresses, and a bankrupt restaurateur ready to give us everything that we need. Let's dive into it!

What happened in The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 1?

Cynthia Bailey and Angela Oakley on the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 1

RHOA Season 17 kicked off in style with Porsha inviting everyone into the mansion that she won in her divorce from Simon. After fighting tooth and nail for this house and the right to film in it, she wasted no time throwing an over-the-top "Mystic Island" dinner party. That's where she introducedLove & Hip Hop'sK. Michelle to the group, but a little bit ofSeason 16 dramastill lingered in the air. It's a new season, but not everyone is starting off with a clean slate.

Welcome to Bravo, K. Michelle

The worst-kept secret in the Bravoverse was K. Michelle makingthe unprecedented jumpfrom Love & Hip Hop to Housewives. We've certainly strayed far away from the gates of Coto de Caza with this casting choice, but in the premiere, K made it clear that she's in a different place than the last time we saw her on TV.

These days, she's focused on her country music career. Also, plot twist: She's married. Two weeks before filming, she tied the knot with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dr. Kastan. After seeing her try to find love onQueen's Court, he apparently realized it was time to commit for real.

Porsha met up with K at a photoshoot and extended an invite to the Mystic Island party, setting up her first introduction to the rest of the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast.

Although K didn't specifically mention L&HH, she said that she felt a little nervous about being introduced to a new group of Atlanta reality stars. She's been burned in the past—is it going to happen again?

Shamea has a new BFF

Shamea Morton in Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 1

Watching Porsha and Shamea's decades-long friendship implode last season felt like watching a slow-motion car crash. But when they dropped that bombshell thattheir moms also have beef, it all started making a lot more sense. This breakup was a long time coming. Things only got worse after the reunion.

Shamea explained that she had a delayed reaction to some of Porsha's reunion shade. She watched it back and got in her feelings all over again. Rookie mistake.

Her second mistake was trying to reach out to Porsha to resolve it over text. That didn't go well, and their last chat didn't end on a positive note.

With Porsha on ice, Shamea came into Season 17 with a new BFF: Kelli, the Queen of Waffles! Somehow, Kelli has been promoted to bestie status, and that's not the only person Shamea has in her corner.

In the premiere, Shamea introduced us to Season 17's other newbie, Pinky. We're still not quite sure if we should thank her for this or hold her accountable for this new addition. Jury is still out on that one.

Porsha brought a "friend friend" to her party

Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams looking at a phone with dreadlocks attached to it

Porsha's Mystic Island party, which she mistakenly called "Majestic Island," was framed as a couples' event. Everyone thought it seemed a little strange to host in the mansion she just got from her ex-husband. Is it too soon? Not in Porsha's eyes.

With only a handful of actual couples in the group, some of these ladies were scrambling to have a plus one—including Porsha. She introduced us to a guy named Mike, whom she referred to as her "friend friend."

Of course, this is the first time we're seeing her with this "friend friend," and surely, it's just a coincidence that he's an actor who previously appeared on the OWN dating series Ready to Love. We got to see his acting chops in action tonight, and it was fully giving Kenya and Walter energy.

Similarly, Kelli showed up with a guy that everyone said they recognized from dating other women around Atlanta. He's a man of the community.

Phaedra also seemed to have brought some hired help. Her plus one was "Che Che," akaCheick Kone. She first met him at a speed-dating event onMarried to Medicine, and he has since become a reliable, on-screen plus-one. Are they actually dating? Who knows.

Meanwhile, Cynthia and Drew brought their dates via FaceTime. Drew hadher rumored boyfriend, Blakk, propped up on her phone, and apparently, he stuck around for the entire party. He kept that ring light plugged in and his smile on for three hours. That's a good "friend" and a good battery on Drew's phone.

Shamea landed in the hot seat at the Mystic Island party

Shamea Morton for Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17

With Shamea and Porsha's relationship on shaky ground, she felt hesitant about the Mystic Island party. The fact that her husband couldn't come because of a "rerouted" flight made things even more nerve-racking.

It turns out, Shamea didn't have much to worry about with her former bestie. Porsha hugged her and said she felt a sense of closure after their last conversation. She was ready to approach their friendship from a place of "openness."

Porsha also brought up thatstrange apology videothat Shamea uploaded to YouTube shortly after the reunion. She thought it seemed sincere, but not everyone agreed with that take.

Drew jumped in and accused Shamea of taking shots at her in that YouTube apology. The RHOA editors put the receipts right there in the episode. Shamea definitely shaded Drew and accused her of having lying tendencies.

Cynthia asked Shamea if she wanted to pull Drew aside to talk about it. She wasn't interested. Instead, Shamea turned things around by calling Drew out on something she said about Angela.

Season 16's storylines are haunting the group

Drew Sidora on Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 Episode 1

It turns out, Drew went to Phaedra after the reunion and said she didn't believe those Junebug/Godfather of Atlantaaccusations Angela threw out. The receipts weren't "receipting."

Drew admitted to saying that, but Angela already knew about it. Either way, this conversation reopened the floodgates for Angela and Phaedra to relitigate their drama and add new accusations into the mix.

At the reunion, Angela claimed to have been accosted by one of Phaedra's friends at an Atlanta Hawks game, but at the Mystic Island party, Phaedra claimed she had video proof from the arena's security cameras that this never happened.

That's a pretty big claim for someone who says they aren't the Godfather of Atlanta, but in a confessional, she admitted that she was bluffing.

"I didn't look at the tapes, but I asked for the tapes to be reviewed," Phaedra admitted.

Regardless, Porsha didn't let the drama get out of control. She encouraged the ladies to table their shady debates for another day. After all, this is just the first episode. They've got plenty of time to work through all of this, and Porsha said in a confessional that more shade is coming soon.

"I feel like I was a gracious host," Porsha said, reflecting on the Mystic Island party.

She continued, "I wasn't very ratchet. I wasn't reading anybody. I'm saving all of that for later."

The Real Housewives of Atlantaairs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. You can stream it the next day on Peacock.

'Brady Bunch' star Eve Plumb reveals teen date with on-screen brother Christopher Knight

A very "Brady Bunch" indeed…

Eve Plumb revealed she once went on a failed date with her on-screen "Brady Bunch" brother Christopher Knight.

After the sitcom ended, Plumb, who played middle sister Jan Brady, and Knight, who played middle brother Peter Brady, tried to go on a date, but it turned into an amorous bungle.

"It was sweet," the actress, 67, told Page Six in a recent exclusive interview. "It was fun, but we were really already by that time just too good of friends to make that transition into being romantic partners."

In her upcoming memoir, "Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond," the actress writes that "any attempts at making out that evening ended with laughter and resignation that we'd always be sister and brother, even in real life."

And that "sibling" bond continues.

"We've stayed friends to this day," she shared.

So much so that Plumb and her husband have a monthly Zoom call with Knight and his wife.

"We're due for one now," Plumb noted, explaining that it started during the COVID-19 pandemic and has continued.

Although Plumb loved filming Plumb said she was busy shooting the TV movie,

Plumb was already a seasoned child actress when she won the role of Jan in the sitcom, which ran from 1969 to 1974 and spawned a spate of TV spinoffs, specials and two movies.

Jan's "middle-child" issues, like feeling overshadowed by older sister Marcia (played by Maureen McCormick), which prompted the now-famous whiny, petulant catchphrase, "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" made her character maybe the most memorable of the six siblings.

Plumb did not appear in the short-lived spinoff series "The Brady Bunch Hour," which ran for only nine episodes. Geri Reischl filled in for Jan, leading many fans to believe Plumb disliked being associated with the sitcom — something she said is not true.

"At the time, I was shooting [the TV movie] 'Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway,' and decided that I would continue to try other avenues," she revealed.

Although, she did take part in the short-lived sitcom, "The Brady Brides," which saw Jan and Marcia sharing a house, both as newlyweds.

Plumb acknowledged that, as a child actress, she was lucky to have a stable home life and parents who encouraged her and meticulously looked after her earnings.

The former child star spoke to Page Six while promoting her new memoir. Page Six

She said she earned "enough" from the sitcom, "but it wasn't ever a lot of money, and so it was invested, and I didn't have to get a day job, which was fortunate."

Plumb has continued working and also has another career as an accomplished painter, which hasspawned a lifestyle brand.

The "Brady Brides" alum said she likes painting because "it's something that I have complete control over about when I do it, what I'm doing, how I do it, and it's fun!"
