The pair initially denied that the photos indicated anything more than a professional relationship, but days later, Russini resigned from The Athletic. "Thank you for your patience that you’ve shown in a personal and private matter for me and obviously everybody involved. I know that that's not easy for you and I respect that and I appreciate that," hetold reporters.

"I understand I could’ve addressed you guys sooner, but it was important to me to have a conversation with the players, which I did yesterday, very candidly," Vrabel continued. Yuliia Starodubtseva jolts No. 2 Elena Rybakina at French Open

Yuliia Starodubtseva recorded the biggest win of her career by posting a 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4) victory over second-seeded Elena Rybakina on Wednesday in the second round of the French Open in Paris.

Field Level Media

Starodubtseva, a 26-year-old from the Ukraine who attended Old Dominion, bounced back from dropping the opening set to dispatch Rybakina in 2 hours, 28 minutes.

"Honestly hard to describe," Starodubtseva said in her on-court interview after the win. "I'm super happy. Elena is one of the top players. She's had an incredible year. I'm super proud of myself that I was able to do this today."

Starodubtseva broke twice to earn a 3-0 lead in the deciding set, however Rybakina forged a 4-4 tie before a series of miscues did her in. Starodubtseva jumped out to a 6-2 win in the tiebreaker before outlasting Rybakina, who lost in the second round of the French Open for the first time since 2020.

"I'm just proud of myself," Starodubtseva said. "It was a hard third set."

Rybakina's exit goes a long way toward Iga Swiatek's bid to win her fifth French Open title in the past seven years.

The third-seeded Swiatek, of Poland, breezed to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Sara Bejlek of the Czech Republic. Swiatek broke her foe on seven occasions in the 91-minute victory.

"It was a tricky match in terms of the rhythm, because Sara plays differently than most of the players," Swiatek said. "But I'm happy with the way I adjusted and how I was making decisions, because sometimes, yeah, it was not so obvious when to go and attack and stay back.

"But at the end I felt it pretty good."

Seventh-seeded Elina Svitolina of the Ukraine coasted to a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Kaitlin Quevedo of Spain, while 11th-seeded Belinda Bencic of Switzerland cruised to a 6-4, 6-0 win over Caty McNally.

No. 15 Marta Kostyk of the Ukraine overcame a first-set misstep to notch a 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-3 victory over Katie Volynets.

No. 27 Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic secured a 6-0, 7-6 (3) win over Francesca Jones of England.

No. 29 Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia and No. 32 Xinyu Wang of China were not as fortunate, falling in three sets to their respective opponents.

  • O'Donnell posted a personal essay on Tuesday about undergoing the procedure despite years of publicly condemning plastic surgery.

Rosie O'Donnellis embracing her new look.

One day after the 64-year-old comedian got candid with fans on Substack about herrecent cosmetic surgery, O'Donnell is making herself even more vulnerable by sharing side-by-side photos from before and after her facelift.

In anInstagram postcaptioned "THE B4 & AFTER," O'Donnell shared two snaps of her face on Wednesday. She also encouraged followers to read her essay onSubstack, which divulges the story behind the procedure.

On Tuesday, O'Donnellannouncedon Instagram that she underwent a lower deep plane facelift and, in her Substack post, explained how she arrived at the decision despite years of publicly condemning plastic surgery.

The Viewalum began by explaining that she had "assigned myself as head of all women who would never" get a facelift and spoke often about being "morally" opposed to the procedure because she felt it was  "a betrayal" of "feminism," "aging," and "our team of women worldwide."

But she began to soften her position after losing 50 pounds. O'Donnell wrote that the dramatic weight loss resulted in additional wrinkles on her face.

"I'd look in the mirror and think, this isn't aging, this is melting with intention," she wrote, adding that she soon started "considering something" that she "swore" never to do.

Along with her own moral oppositions, O'Donnell recounted facing pushback from her teenage child, Clay. "Young women look up to you," O'Donnell recalls Clay saying. "I wouldn't be able to respect you if you did it."

In her post, O'Donnell acknowledged that this is something that resonated with her — which brought her to an important realization.

"If I'm teaching Clay anything," O'Donnell wrote on Substack, "it can't be that my body belongs to an idea either. Even a good idea. Even feminism. Because that's still not freedom — that's just a different authority telling you what you're allowed to do with your own face."

TheLeague of Their Ownstar has voiced skepticism over the need for cosmetic surgery and frequently said she never felt the need to undergo such procedures herself. In a 2021 interview withVulture, O'Donnell argued that avoiding surgery had benefitted her career.

"I always knew as an actress that when I got into my 60s, I would be playing the Geraldine Page roles," she said. "I wasn't going to have plastic surgery. I was going to look the way a woman my age should look, and I always thought that would be a blessing in my older age. I would get to play the Colleen Dewhurst roles. That has turned out to be true. I'm getting all this acting work now that I'm closing in on 60."

O'Donnell, who got the facelift in January, wrote in her essay that she was shocked when no one seemed to notice.

"Not one person. Not a friend, not a stranger, not even people who owe me compliments," she wrote. "My teen daughter has not said a word. Nothing."

She added, "I went through a full existential feminist crisis, had my face and neck surgically altered, and the result is… zippo. Which honestly is the best possible outcome."

Fantasy Baseball Trade Analyzer: Pitchers to sell high and buy low on

After deviating from the usual format during recent weeks, this edition of the Trade Analyzer is back to focusing on some buy-low and sell-high options. And this week’s group is comprised entirely of hurlers, which has been an underrepresented position in recent articles.

Yahoo Sports

The sporadic nature of pitching appearances tends to make the stats of hurlers fluctuate wildly early in the season, but we are reaching the point in the campaign where many pitcher stat lines have begun to normalize, which gives smart fantasy managers the data they need to make smart trades.

Sell High

José Soríano, SP, Angels:After a memorable start to the season that included a 0.24 ERA in his first six starts, Soriano has looked more like previous iterations of himself over his past five outings. The right-hander has logged a 5.34 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over that five-start stretch, while posting a 31:14 K:BB ratio that is acceptable but not special. When looking at his season-long statistics, there is little that stands out as notably different from previous seasons, beyond an improved strikeout rate.

We also need to factor in that Soriano pitches for the team with the American League’s worst record (21-34) and one that is known for doing a poor job at developing pitchers. Managers should be happy to trade the 27-year-old for a sizable return while he still has ace-like ratios (2.44 ERA, 1.07 WHIP).

Nick Martinez, SP/RP, Rays:Managers who believe that the Rays are in the midst of a magical season where everything goes their way can keep Martinez. Everyone else should trade him away.

The 35-year-old has logged a dazzling 1.51 ERA on the strength of an unsustainable 92.9% strand rate. His lowly 14.9% strikeout rate is his worst mark since his 2022 return from a stint in Japan. Managers who can get anything of value for the right-hander should make the move, as his skill set is easily replaceable from the waiver wire.

Play 2026 Soccer Pick 'Em with FOX One and make your picks for the world's biggest soccer tournament

Eduardo Rodríguez, SP, Diamondbacks:Rodríguez has plenty of similarities to Martinez, with fortunate marks in BABIP (.259) and strand rate (84.9) driving his fantasy production. The southpaw with an excellent 2.31 ERA has earned marks in the range of 4.00 from every major ERA estimator. There won’t be a significant trade market for Rodríguez, but small deals can sometimes reap large rewards in the long run.

My plan would be to use him to sweeten the pot in a larger deal and then replace him with a better pitcher who remains on the waiver wire.

Paul Sewald, RP, Diamondbacks:Sewald has been one of this season’s waiver wire gems, as he ranks fourth in the majors with 13 saves. And although there isn’t heavy statistical evidence for making this move, my gut says that managers should cash him out on the trade market in the coming weeks.

The 36-year-old has had an inconsistent career, and across 2024-25, he logged a 4.40 ERA over just 59.1 innings. He deserves credit for improving his strikeout rate this season, but he has also enjoyed the benefits of a .140 BABIP despite allowing plenty of hard contact. Sewald’s skills or luck could regress as the season progresses, which would make him a shaky saves source.

Buy Low

Jesús Luzardo, SP, Phillies:Death, taxes and Luzardo enduring wild fluctuations with his ratios. Perhaps no pitcher excites and exasperates fantasy managers as much as Luzardo, who regularly rotates from seven shutout innings to giving up 5+ runs over fewer than five frames. He has notched the latter stat line in four of his 11 starts this season, which has heavily contributed to a 4.38 ERA and 1.28 WHIP.

His underlying stats continue to paint the left-hander as an ace, including a 3.13 xERA and a 72:17 K:BB ratio. Fantasy managers who need to take a chance with their pitching staff can acquire Luzardo in hopes that he irons out the rough patches this summer.

Garrett Crochet, SP, Red Sox:Acquiring Crochet at a discount is a sensible Hail Mary for managers who need to take drastic steps to fix a disappointing pitching staff. The left-hander has been ineffective or injured this season, which has resulted in a 6.30 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. His return date from the IL continues to be pushed back, and what was once expected to be a minimal stint is now destined to be five weeks or more. Still, when Crochet is at his best, he can impact the fantasy standings more than virtually any pitcher, which we saw when he went 18-5 with 255 strikeouts and terrific ratios (2.59 ERA, 1.03 WHIP) last season. As you’ll see on theYahoo Trade Market, some of his recent returns have been underwhelming.

Devin Williams, RP, Mets:At first glance, Williams looks like a bust. After all, he has earned just seven saves while also producing poor ratios (6.35 ERA, 1.65 WHIP). A closer look shows that the right-hander allowed all of his earned runs during a four-appearance stretch from April 15-23 and on May 24, while logging a 12:2 K:BB ratio and 0.41 WHIP in between those outings.

The Mets’ overall win total and Williams’ save chances have been impacted by a sluggish New York offense that should improve at some point. The 31-year-old remains a useful closer, and wise managers will buy him at a significant discount on the premise that he hasn’t bounced back from his 2025 struggles.

David Bednar, RP, Yankees:Next, we move from the former Yankees closer to the current one. Bednar may be as easy to acquire as Williams, even though he has more saves (12), as he hasn’t pitched well in May (6.10 ERA, 1.45 WHIP).

The 31-year-old has done a great job of inducing grounders (58.5%), but unfortunately, too many of them have found holes in the infield (.369 BABIP). His 28:10 K:BB ratio is a strong mark, and unlike Williams, he has the support of a winning team. His 4.70 ERA should soon regress closer to his 3.21 FIP.

NEED TO KNOW

  • Austin, 32, will be strutting her stuff while six months pregnant with her first baby

  • Austin married husband Lane Armstrong in May 2024

Katie Austinis getting to work the runway, with her baby bump leading the way.

The model and fitness influencer, 32, is preparing to walk inSports IllustratedSwim Week's runway show. While it's her sixth time hitting the runway forSI Swim, this year is extra special for Austin as she's walking while six months pregnant with her first baby.

Speaking with PEOPLE about her pregnancy journey and getting ready for the runway, Austin is happy to report she's feeling better than she did in her first trimester.

"The first trimester was brutal. I did not feel like myself. I felt very alone, to be quite frank," she says, noting that she was experiencing morning sickness "24/7."

"There was all-day long sickness. I didn't love the foods I usually love. Didn't love coffee, didn't feel like working out. But at the same time, finding those 10 to 15 minutes just to try to feel like myself was really beneficial."

Never miss a story — sign up forPEOPLE's free daily newsletterto stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

The younger of fitness icon Denise Austin's two daughters, she admits she's felt an "identity shift" while managing her changing body.

"My business is run on feeling good and wellness and loving your body. And obviously, with those changes with pregnancy, especially as a first-time pregnant girl, it was very new to me to have a changing body. My body, to me, changed very fast."

Austin, founder ofThe KA App, notes that she had to completely reconsider the routine she's meticulously developed over the years as she weathered the changes.

"I'm kind of type A when it comes to my routine and what I like. I've taken years to figure out what I like and don't like, and what makes me happy and what brings me joy. And so I feel like when the normal things weren't working, or I didn't want to do them, it took me a while to be like, 'Okay, you can't plan for s--t,' " she tells PEOPLE.

"This is not something where you can wake up and be like, 'I'm going to feel amazing today,' or next week, or the following week, or know what your body is going to want or look like in a week, in two weeks, in a month. You can't plan for anything. I think that has been the hardest part and kind of humbling me, if you will."

Before modeling and her own fitness endeavors, Austin was a Division I lacrosse player and a soccer player during her time at the University of Southern California. Combined with her background, it made for a continued devotion to fitness after her college career ended.

"The last decade, I've been kind of pushing my body, and even in the days I don't feel like working out, I don't really have as much grace for myself, but now I have to have a lot of grace for myself. What I've really come to understand now, I would say, after I got out of the first trimester and I started feeling good, I looked back, and I was like, 'I wish I just told myself that it's a phase of life. Number one, it's temporary; you're going to get out of it. And number two, if you think that a good workout is going to be the same as it was before you got pregnant, you are seriously mistaken, and you're going to set yourself up for failure.'"

Austin now understands she'll be "redefining what strength is" throughout every stage of her pregnancy, "because strength is going to look different every single day in pregnancy."

The model mom-to-be is also applying that attitude to her preparation for theSports IllustratedSwim runway.

"Everything's different this year," she explains. "I feel like usually, I would have a little bit more of a workout regimen and be watching a little bit more of what I eat. But at this stage of my life, being six months pregnant, it's not really going to matter as much of what I eat. So I think making sure I'm eating the right things as far as feeling good, I think that's the entire point of it."

Other lead-up preparations include "trying to calm the jitters."

"This year is different because I cannot take my annual tequila shot before the runway, so I'll be missing that," she laughs. "But it'll be good because I love the girls this year. I think this is our best group of girls yet. Their energy will help as well, and they're such a great team."

Austin continues, "I'll be practicing my walk because I can nail a walk when I'm not pregnant, but I'm not sure how the belly is going to waddle. And this year is also different because Hulu will be documenting everything, which is really exciting. It's going to be fun. I feel like my baby girl is going to be my best accessory I've ever had on the runway."

"I feel really great now, and I definitely learned a lot, and I'm really happy to say that I'll be prepared for next pregnancy because now I know what to expect."

  • Beth told podcaster Ross Tucker that her son hired a "cyber security specialist" to try to "get to the bottom of" the leaked tape

  • An Eastern European hacking group was allegedly responsible for the leaked tape, Beth claimed

Titans quarterbackWill Levisspent an "exorbitant" amount of money trying to scrub his sex tape from the internet, according to his mom Beth Levis.

Beth appeared on theRoss Tucker Football Podcaston Monday, May 25, where she revealed that her son, 26, hired a "cyber security specialist" after learning that a "very intimate video" of himself and his ex-girlfriend,Gia Duddy, was going viral online.

"The first words out of Will's mouth were, 'I'm so sorry, mom,' and it just broke my heart," Beth said on the podcast.

"Will actually ended up engaging in hiring a cyber security specialist and spent an exorbitant amount of money to try to get to the bottom of this," said Beth, who also shares three daughters with her husband, Mike.

The Titans quarterback was hoping the information acquired by the cyber specialist could help him "try to scrape what they could to ultimately make this go away," said Beth. "And ultimately, a lot of the content was taken down, but you can never scrape anything entirely from the internet. It's there forever, there is a footprint unfortunately."

Beth said their family "did find out" some information about the source of the leaked tape, claiming the "content was stolen" from one of Levis' personal devices.

"His private — either laptop or digital platform, phone, whatever — was actually breached and invaded a year or two earlier when he was in college," said Beth.

"We come to find out this was an Eastern European hacking group notorious for trying to target what they think might be an attractive couple that they can then expose and do what they do for attention," said Beth.

Levis and his family "came to terms with that, at least we knew where it came from," said Beth, relived that it "wasn’t something malicious from who knows, somebody else.”

Levis and Duddy dated for approximately three years after meeting in college in early 2021. She attended Penn State, where his college football career began before he transferred to the University of Kentucky that same year. The couple reportedly broke up in September 2023.

Duddy went viral during the 2023 NFL Draft, where Levis was ultimately chosen by the Tennessee Titans in the second round with their No. 33 selection after beingheavily projected to be a first-round pick. In April 2025, she joked about the draft on TikTok and said her followers "won't let me forget" about the viral moment.

"I feel like I've never really talked about the draft — and I don't really like talking about it, just because it just genuinely wasn't about me," she said at the time.

After splitting with Duddy, Levis wasmost recentlylinked toThe BacheloralumVictoria Fuller. They confirmed their romance in July 2024, but it was laterreportedthat the pair split.

Wang Cong stokes Valentina Shevchenko rivalry fires at UFC Macau

Wang Cong already is up 1-0 onValentina Shevchenko, and after this week, she might consider herself up 2-nil.

USA TODAY

More than a decade ago,Cong served up a Halloween nightmare for Shevchenkowith a three-round decision win in a kickboxing match at Kunlun Fight 33 in China. That was Shevchenko's final kickboxing bout before she moved to the UFC.

Shevchenko and her supporters have long held the opinion that home-cooking was at play for Cong in the matchup on her home turf. But still, the record books have it as a win for Cong, and while she chases a chance to fight Shevchenko, the two-time UFC women's flyweight champion, she'll no doubt use that to her advantage.

Monday, Cong posted on social media to claim her second win over Shevchenko – by virture of the champ apparently bowing out of a fan Q&A appearance this week at the ceremonial weigh-ins for UFC Macau. Cong posted to say Shevchenko made a request to the UFC to not appear at the Q&A – because Cong will be part of it.

Cong called Shevchenko a "sore loser" and criticized her style. Check out Cong's video post and comments – in which she tagged the UFC brass to say their champion was "Box Office Poison" due to her boring fights.

  • The former gymnast was captured on camera dropping two F-bombs after the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher's ill-fated pitch

  • Dunne has recently opened up about her relationship with Skenes, which is marked by support for each other's respective careers

Olivia “Livvy” Dunnehas a bit of a potty mouth when she's watching boyfriendPaul Skenesplay — and she's not shying away from it.

As the gymnast-turned-actress, 23, watched the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, also 23, take on the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, May 23, she was caught dropping a very heated “f---” as he gave up a hit early in the game.

After the Blue Jays' George Springer secured a home run off of Skenes' third pitch in the game, footage of Dunne shared bySportsnetshows her profanity-laden reaction.

“F---,” theBaywatchstar said before repeating the word once more while leaning back in her seat at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. She could then be seen looking down at her phone, wearing a stern expression as Springer and the Jays celebrated.

Dunnelater poked fun at her outburstin an Instagram post on Sunday, May 24, recapping her time at Saturday's game, a 5-2 loss for Skenes' Pirates.

“Occasionally profane,” she wrote alongside snaps, mostly of her posing at the Jays-Pirates game. The photo dump ended with a screengrab of the moment she dropped the F-bomb on the game's broadcast.

The former gymnast — who has been an ardent supporter of Skenes' athletic career, as he was to hers — also nodded to the moment in a separate Instagram Story. “Yk im locked in,” Dunne wrote alongside the snapshot, and added a lock emoji.

Earlier this month, Dunneopened up about her rituals for watching Skenes playwhile appearing onThe Tonight Show.

In the May 13 episode, she revealed to hostJimmy Fallonthat she can get pretty superstitious while watching Skenes on the mound. “I usually wear an Oura Ring, and it tells me I'm going to explore and die every time I watch him,” Dunne joked while responding to a question from Fallon about whether she gets nervous at his games.

“I'm a little superstitious," she continued, “so I have to scream before every single pitch at the top of my lungs, ‘Let's go, Paul!' ”

Fallon then joked, “So if you go to a game, you don't want to sit in front of you,” as Dunne fired back with a laugh, “I mean, unless you want to cheer with me.”

The former gymnast and MLB player first crossed paths as students at Louisiana State University andconfirmedtheir relationship in August 2023 — just one month after Skenes was drafted by the Pirates first-overall. They always try to show up for each other, Dunne told PEOPLE in February.

"I just think being super present with one another while you're together, while you have that time together, is super important,” Dunne said of the couple, who navigate busy schedules and a long-distance relationship. “I mean, he makes time to come to my events,” she added. “I make time to go watch him pitch. I try to make every start I can."

Author Kennedy Ryan Details Why Mental Health Is 'at the Core for A Lot of My Work' (Exclusive)

  • Her new book Score features a main character navigating bipolar disorder, while also highlighting Black excellence

  • “Mental health is something that is kind of core for a lot of my work,” Ryan tells PEOPLE

For award-winning authorKennedy Ryan, mental health is at the center of her work for a reason.

PEOPLE recently spoke to the RITA-winning author about her new bookScore, and how one of her main characters, a screenwriter named Verity Hill, lives with bipolar disorder.

Scoresees Verity reconnecting with a former flame, musician Wright "Monk" Bellamy, as they are forced to work together on a Harlem Renaissance biopic more than 10 years after a gut-wrenching breakup. Relatedly, the book explores the importance of protecting one's mental health.

“I always say that a good second chance has certain elements,” Ryan tells PEOPLE. “Because if I'm buying that you're soulmate level in love, then why did you break up in the first place? I need to understand what went wrong.”

Ryan adds that once Verity reunites with Monk, she needs to know what’s different the second time around.

“And so that's what this whole journey is,” the novelist tells PEOPLE. “It's first unpacking what went wrong... For me, it really gave me an opportunity to talk about mental illness, mental health and how vigilant people who are living with bipolar disorder have to be about their mental health, and about their mental state and what it's like to love someone who is navigating that.”

While readers may have been hungry for more from the long-awaited second installment in theHollywood Renaissanceseries, Ryan says Verity needed that break from Monk between college and now “to understand a lot about herself, and understand the diagnosis.”

The screenwriter also used that time to live her life on her own terms.

“Mental health is something that is kind of core for a lot of my work,” Ryan tells PEOPLE. “If you look atBefore I Let Go, and depression, and you look atThis Could Be Us, andNeurodivergence, andCan't Get Enough, and dementia and Alzheimer's, it is something that's really important to me.”

Ryan, who navigates her own depression, is an avid supporter of May as Mental Health Awareness Month.

“I really am constantly trying to destigmatize the discourse around mental illness and mental health,” she says.

Ryan adds that there are people in her life in their 40s and 50s who have just been diagnosed, but that she sees how having the proper support and tools has made all the difference.

“Seeing what intervention did, seeing what therapy and medication and an actual diagnosis did, how transformative it was for their life, really inspired me,” she tells PEOPLE. “This is [the] discourse I want to have.”

Former Texas A&M star is heating up with a six-game tear in minors

Texas A&Mlegend Jace “Lord Tubbington”LaVioletteis officially heating up in the minors, extending his hitting streak and unloading yet another no‑doubt blast on Saturday night.

USA TODAY

After a slow start to his first full professional season, LaViolette suddenly looks every bit like a candidate for a promotion to Double‑A if this surge continues. Just a few weeks ago, he was slashing .193/.311/.720, a line that showed both the swing‑and‑miss concerns and the raw power that made him a first‑round pick. Fast forward to now, and every metric is trending upward. He’s lifted his numbers to .277/.325/.787, a massive jump fueled by consistent contact and timely damage.

Yes, the strikeouts remain too high; that’s still the developmental hurdle, but he’s balancing it with real production. LaViolette is riding a six‑game hitting streak, including three multi‑hit performances, and he’s been one of the hottest bats in his league over the past week.

Across those six games, he’s hitting .400 with 10 hits, two home runs, two doubles, a triple, nine RBI, and a 1.284 OPS. And on Saturday, he added the exclamation point: his seventh home run of the season, a 108 mph, 380‑foot two‑run missile that extended his team’s lead and showcased the elite power that defined his time in Aggieland.

It was the kind of weekend that reminds everyone why LaViolette shatteredTexas A&M’s career home run record and why he’s only scratching the surface as a pro.
