President Joe Biden has blamed not signing Covid relief checks for why he became unpopular with the American people. Biden said he had been 'stupid' not to put his own name on the pandemic checks in 2021. He noted that Donald Trump had done so in 2020 and likely got credit for helping people out through this simple, effective act of branding. Biden's claim came as he stumbled through a speech on his economic legacy on Tuesday, battling his teleprompter and taking out a wad tissues to blow his nose He talked about the $1,400 stimulus payments that were sent our during the early years of his presidency as part of COVID relief.
