The Packers are dealing with several injuries, which led to four players being ruled out on Friday , forcing Green Bay to push up some reinforcements.
The Packers placed defensive lineman Jonathan Ford, defensive lineman Javon Hargrave and wide receiver Skyy Moore on the injured reserve today. Those were three of the four players who were already ruled out against the Cowboys, with the non-IR'd player being cornerback Benjamin St-Juste.
Backfilling on the game-day roster are receiver Savion Williams, who was activated from the injured reserve on Saturday, and elevated practice squadders Arron Mosby (edge) and Coleman Owen (receiver).
Below is a full breakdown of the Packers' position groups heading into the game, including their injury statuses.
With St-Juste already ruled out, the Packers have 51 options to make up their 48-man roster. In all likelihood, the team will scratch 3 of their 11 offensive linemen, since it's very rare for NFL teams to carry more than 8 at the position into a game. It seems like the team believes that all of the players with questionable statuses will play on Sunday, and even then they're really short at some positions.
For example, they have one backup defensive lineman for their 3-4 defensive front, and that's if Anthony Campbell (listed as questionable) is able to play. In the secondary, they have just eight players total at cornerback and safety, and that's if rookie Brandon Cisse (questionable) can go. The defense isn't going to have many options, which is an interesting decision for the team to make going into a matchup against the best offense they've seen this season.
