Tom Brady was spotted in the Las Vegas Raiders coaches booth during their game against the Chargers on Monday, Sept. 15
Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders and Fox Sports analyst, must adhere to certain rules to uphold the integrity of the league
In August, the NFL relaxed one of the rules previously set in place for Brady's role as a minority owner
Tom Brady is at the center of criticism after he was seen in the Las Vegas Raiders coaches' booth during the team's Monday Night Football game.
The 48-year-old former quarterback-turned-broadcaster — who became a minority owner of the Raiders in 2024 — was seated in the booth at Allegiant Stadium on Monday, Sept. 15 wearing a headset as the team took on the Los Angeles Chargers.
Brady is typically unable to attend the Raiders games on Sundays due to his Fox Sports contract.
ESPN broadcaster Peter Schrager revealed during the game that Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly consults Brady a few times a week. The pair reportedly meet to discuss film and game plans.

Raiders coach Pete Carroll said after the game that was "not accurate" regarding Brady's meetings with Kelly.
"We have conversations," Carroll said, according to ESPN's Ryan McFadden. "I talk to Tom, Chip talks to Tom regularly. We have a tremendous asset. And we all get along and respect each other. We just talk about life and football. He has great insight, so we're lucky to have him as an owner,"
But Brady's job as an analyst puts restrictions on his role as Raiders minority owner. In August, the Los Angeles Times reported that Brady was initially prohibited from attending production meetings, but that rule was relaxed by the NFL. Instead, Brady is allowed to attend meetings, but only remotely, the Times reported.
On Tuesday, the NFL clarified that Brady's presence in the booth was not a conflict of interest.
"There are no policies that prohibit an owner from sitting in the coaches' booth or wearing a headset during a game," the league said, via NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "Brady was sitting in the booth in his capacity as a limited partner."
Brady, who recently announced his next chapter of unretirement from football, made his debut on the Fox Sports broadcast last season, and was on the call for the 2025 Super Bowl matchup between the Eagles and Chiefs alongside Kevin Burkhardt.
On Sunday, Sept. 14, Brady called the rematch between those two teams, both games ending in favor of Philadelphia.
Fox Sports executive producer Brad Zager defended Brady in January, calling out those who are "questioning his professionalism and integrity" while speaking to the .
"It's ridiculous," said Zager.
