The biggest battle in golf is here.

A dozen of the best American golfers will square off against their European counterparts this weekend at Bethpage Black in New York with the Ryder Cup on the line. While the European team is mostly the same from two years ago, there are a few new faces on the U.S. side who are going to try and help them defend home soil for a third straight time.

Here's a look at the 24 golfers who will be out on the course this weekend on Long Island.

U.S. Team roster

Captain: Keegan BradleyVice Captains: Jim Furyk, Kevin Kisner, Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker, Gary Woodland

Scottie Scheffler Ryder Cup record: 2-2-32025 wins: 6

Though his last Ryder Cup outing wasn't great — Scottie Scheffler went 0-2-2 in Rome — nobody is playing better than him lately. The top-ranked golfer in the world won six times on the PGA Tour this past season, and he hasn't finished outside of the top 10 since mid-March.

Xander SchauffeleRyder Cup record: 4-4-02025 wins: 0

He didn't win this past season, and he missed the warm-up event, but Xander Schauffele didn't miss a single cut this past year and was in the mix at three of the four major championships. He's firmly held onto the No. 3 ranking in the world, too. Last time out in Italy, though, Schauffele went just 1-3-0.

J.J. SpaunRyder Cup record: Rookie2025 wins: 1

J.J. Spaun won the U.S. Open this past season and played his way onto the Ryder Cup team for the first time in his career. He fell in a playoff twice this past season, too, and had seven top 10 finishes.

Russell HenleyRyder Cup record: Rookie2025 wins: 1

Russell Henley is playing in his first Ryder Cup after a very dominant season on Tour. He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March, and then rattled off seven top-10 finishes. He's not missed a cut since mid-May, and has climbed to a career-high No. 4 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Harris EnglishRyder Cup record: 1-2-02025 wins: 1

Harris English is back for his second Ryder Cup after missing the mark two years ago. He went 1-2-0 in 2021. English finished in second at two majors this past season, too.

Bryson DeChambeauRyder Cup record: 2-3-12025 wins: 1 (LIV)

Though he's the only LIV Golf member on the U.S. team, Bryson DeChambeau is one of the veterans of the group. He made his debut alongside Justin Thomas back in 2018, and he finished inside the top 10 in three of the four major championships this past season. There's a reason Bradley was going to bring him aboard whether or not he earned an automatic spot.

Justin ThomasRyder Cup record: 7-4-22025 wins: 1

Justin Thomas is the most experienced member of the American team this time out. He made his debut in 2018, and he's won seven different matches in his career. He may not be as dominant on the PGA Tour recently, but Thomas knows what he's doing when it comes to the Ryder Cup.

Collin MorikawaRyder Cup record: 4-3-12025 wins: 0

He had a pretty quiet PGA Tour season, relatively speaking, but Collin Morikawa has some good Ryder Cup experience to bring to the group. He went 3-0-1 the last time it was on U.S. soil, and he only missed three cuts this past year.

Ben GriffinRyder Cup record: Rookie2025 wins: 2

Ben Griffin is playing in his first Ryder Cup, but he's coming off a career season on the PGA Tour. He finished second at the Procore Championship earlier this month, which was one of 11 top-10 finishes he had all season.

Another Ryder Cup rookie, Cameron Young picked up his inaugural PGA Tour win this season at the Wyndham Championship in August. Since then, he's not finished worse than solo 11th.

Patrick CantlayRyder Cup record: 5-2-12025 wins: 0

Patrick Cantlay hasn't won on the PGA Tour in more than three years now. He's got one of the best Ryder Cup records on the team, however, and he went 2-2-0 in Rome while most of the other Americans struggled. Just maybe don't ask him to wear the team hat.

Sam BurnsRyder Cup record: 1-2-02025 wins: 0

Sam Burns is back for his second Ryder Cup this fall after going 1-2-0 in his debut in Italy. Burns had six top 10 finishes on Tour this past season.

There's a reason he's No. 2 in the world, and this format is nothing new for him.

Robert MacIntyreRyder Cup record: 2-0-12025 wins: 0

Robert MacIntyre didn't win on the PGA Tour this past season, but he had six top 10 finishes and finished in second at the U.S. Open. He also shined in his Ryder Cup debut two years ago, where he scored 2.5 points.

Tommy FleetwoodRyder Cup record: 7-3-22025 wins: 1

Tommy Fleetwood finally picked up his first PGA Tour win at the Tour Championship earlier this fall after too many near-misses. He's back for a fourth Ryder Cup this fall.

Justin RoseRyder Cup record: 14-9-32025 wins: 1

Like Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose is a mainstay on the European team. This is his seventh Ryder Cup appearance dating back to 2008. He also nearly spoiled McIlroy's win at Augusta National, so he's still got it.

Rasmus HøjgaardRyder Cup record: Rookie2025 wins: 0

Rasmus Højgaard is the lone rookie on Europe's Ryder Cup team, and he's taking the place of his twin brother after he played his way onto the team. Højgaard beat Rory McIlroy at last year's Irish Open and finished in second at the DP World Tour Championship, too.

Tyrrell HattonRyder Cup record: 5-4-22025 wins: 1

Tyrrell Hatton, back for a fourth Ryder Cup, won on the DP World Tour back in January and then finished fourth at the U.S. Open. He's the only LIV Golf member to earn an auto bid on the European side.
