For the third time in as many weeks, Derrick Henry slipped up.
The Baltimore star running back fumbled in the fourth quarter of the Ravens' 38-30 loss to the Detroit Lions at M&T Bank Stadium on Monday night. While it wasn't the reason the Ravens lost, which dropped them to 1-2 on the season, it helped ensure that they weren't going to mount a comeback.
That gave the Lions the ball back with a four-point lead, which they quickly pushed to seven points after a field goal four plays later.
The turnover left Henry completely livid on the sideline.

Henry has now fumbled in all three of the Ravens' games this season. He's fumbled twice in critical positions in the fourth quarter. By comparison, Henry fumbled just three times in all of last season. He didn't fumble at all during the 2023 campaign.
Henry, who finished with 50 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in the loss, said he apologized to his teammates after the game. He doesn't know what's going on lately, either.
"I'm at a loss for words," Henry said, via The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. "It's not a good feeling. I'm going to keep working to get it fixed."
While it's been a rare, rough start for Henry, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he hasn't lost faith in his running back. And, Harbaugh noted, Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson made the perfect play on the ball to force the turnover.
"It hasn't been [the norm for him]," Harbaugh said, via ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "I don't think it'll be going forward, but we have to get it fixed. That was kind of a blind shot there. I thought he had the ball in a good position, I think the defender got a good look at it though … A little bit of the perfect storm. Still, we just want to protect the football."
Though Henry is still undoubtedly a dominant running back — he's averaging a touchdown and nearly 81 rushing yards per game, which is the fourth-best among running backs in the league — there's no question he's got a issue holding onto the ball right now. He'll have a chance to fix that and make it through a full contest unscathed Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
